ABOUT

1.jpg

Raj Singh Tattal is a freelance artist from East London whose work combines technical precision with powerful storytelling. Working primarily in graphite and charcoal, and Luminance colour pencils, he creates highly detailed drawings that blur the boundaries between realism and surrealism.

Every piece is meticulously crafted, using light, texture, and intricate detail to draw viewers into subjects that are both visually compelling and emotionally engaging. For Raj, creating art is far more than a creative pursuit—it is a necessity. The studio is where he finds clarity, purpose, and peace.

Although his portfolio spans a diverse range of themes, Raj's greatest passion lies in creating work that educates, challenges perspectives, and encourages meaningful discussion. His artwork explores complex social, political, historical, cultural, and humanitarian issues, inviting viewers to look beyond the surface and engage with topics that often provoke reflection and debate.

At the heart of Raj's practice is the belief that art has the power to educate, inspire, and create positive change. Rather than simply producing aesthetically pleasing images, he strives to create work with purpose—art that encourages conversation.

By using visual storytelling as a tool for education, Raj hopes to foster greater understanding, strengthen social cohesion, and contribute, in his own way, to making the world a more compassionate and informed place.
